Paypal Holding Payments

Being  a Paypal user and ebay user for years now i decided to do some winter cleaning of some of the things i no longer use. So i listed my items on ebay and sold them with no issues. Payments were received via Paypal from the buyer. Low and behold I noticed Paypal alert they are holding my payments until I receive positive feedback and the items are shipped. Now having paypal hold my money is not frustrating enough, i have to ship the items with no money in hand!

Now think of it as in the sellers perspective. You go into a store and purchase an item, but you tell the store owner that you will take home the item and pay him or her in 21 days (because paypal says they can hold your money for 21 days). Does this work ? No it does not, unless you use a credit card, so why are you Paypal punishing your sellers in this way? I understand the idea of making ebay a safer place to shop and buy but this is ridiculous.

My company has had a 100% feedback on ebay and not 1 negative for years. I have had paypal and ebay for years and now all of a sudden they decide to hold your funds. If you are ever thinking of using paypal for receiving payments for anything such as ebay or even your ecommerce website, i suggest you think twice. Start using other forms of payment gateways such as Money Bookers or 2 Checkout and Paylead, and im sure the fees are less too!

Paypal you have lost my business forever and i will never refer any of my ecommerce clients to your company ever again!
